Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) registration is a government initiative to promote and support small businesses in India. The registration provides various benefits, including subsidies, tax rebates, lower interest rates on loans, and access to government schemes. The MSME classification is based on investment in plant & machinery or equipment and annual turnover.
MSMEs are categorized into three types based on investment and turnover limits:
• Micro Enterprises:
o Investment: Up to ₹1 crore
o Annual Turnover: Up to ₹5 crores
• Small Enterprises:
o Investment: Up to ₹10 crores
o Annual Turnover: Up to ₹50 crores
